The GSA Recreational Soccer program is for boys and girls of all skill levels ages 4-18 who want to play soccer!
Our mission is to provide a high quality recreational soccer program for Georgetown and the surrounding communities.
Our goal is to have fun while introducing children to the sport of soccer as well as to the concepts of teamwork, competition and sport.
The Recreational seasons are from September through November (Fall) and from February through May (Spring). Registration is in August and January of each year.
Registration fees include up to two practices per week (one for U5-U8), 8 to 10 regulations games per season (usually on Saturdays), and a full uniform including shirt, shorts and socks. Teams may also choose to compete in one or more tournaments during the season, depending on age and skill level. Tournament expenses are not included in Registration fees.
Teams will be formed based on the following age groupings and birthdates:

*Games are played on two fields simultaneously with players divided by skill level and experience.
** Team formation is subject to enough players signing up in the age group.
U5-U8 players are placed on teams by the age group commissioners with consideration given to age, gender and skill level to produce balanced teams.
U9-U10 players will participate in an evaluation and will be assigned to a team by the Select Directors of Coaching before each fall season. Players who sign up after the evaluation will be assigned to teams in order until all available slots are taken or the final registration deadline has passed. New U9-U10 players in the Spring will be evaluated and assigned to existing teams.
U12 players and higher may be evaluated and assigned to teams depending on the number of players who register.
Specific team requests by players will not be considered unless there are special circumstances as determined by the age group commissioner and the VP's of Recreational Soccer.
All Fall players will return to the same team for the Spring season.
